Going for a slow run this morning-forget about training

I got a massage after work last night and felt really good and relaxed. I’ve been having this nagging hip pain for a few days and after the massage, it hurts a lot less.

I downloaded a training plain for 10k and read thru it last night, it seemed a bit complicated with all the technical running terms such as “AI”, “GP”, “PI”, “SI”, “10-10″ and “TUT”. I got really confused and thought to myself, “I can’t possibly remember all these when I run…, who does this?”

So this morning, I decide to take it easy and do a short run/walk workout, just get out there and do what feels right. I’ve been running in about 50 degree weather and today it was really warm, felt strange. I also tried to turn off the music for parts of the run and just listen to my breathing and my steps, just get into the rhythm of things.

All and all, it was a good workout, but I am a bit intimidated about the training program thing. Anyone has any suggestions?
