Today is my long run day -time to kick butt!

I’ve been looking forward to this all week. I had a really nice run last Saturday and have been longing to do it again. I was slightly worried about my left knee that has been bothering me, but I took it easy for a couple of days this week; even though I have not completely feel better. I am going to get out there and RUN!!!

I struggled a bit at the beginning, between mile 3 and 4, runner’s high kicks in, I feel like I can run like this till the end of earth. I told myself and my goal is to run at least 9 miles today, but I was going to clock myself at exactly 6.3 mile mark to see how I am doing on time. Since my next race is a 10k, I like to set a goal to run it under 1 hour. The last time I did a 10k on the treadmill, I clocked in at 1 hour and 4 minutes, not impressive. Today, I did it in 58 minutes, outdoors and hills and all. I am so HAPPY!!! :)

I eventually ran out of road on the strand and had to turn back, good work today.
