Starting of a new week, new goal.

I realized that my workout has been a bit one dimensional, which means, I am running most of the time. This week, I am going to change it up a bit. If I make it to the gym, I am not just going to run 6 miles on the treadmill and go home. I am going to split my time between weight training and running. Maybe even squeeze in a spinning session if I could. I have a out of town business trip coming up next week which I know will put a damper on my workout routine. I’ll just have to make up for it before and after.

Workout:

  • Type: Run
  • Date: 03/31/2008
  • Time: 07:39:57
  • Total Time: 00:28:28.00
  • Distance: 3.11 miles
  • Average Pace: 9:08.78/mile

Thanks for the visit and comment about new clothes and the positive effect on proceeding workouts.

I too struggle with doing things beyond running for workouts. On the rare occassion I mix things up I usually hit a yoga class.

By the looks of your long run you should be ready for a half marathon before the one Pasedena, any other 1/2 prospects? Good luck on keeping the workout thing going on your trip next week.

I know what you mean, it’s funny that you are almost reading my mind. I was thinking about finding some other local 1/2 to do before November.

I did mention to my sister who lives in northern California that I would fly up to run the silicone valley 1/2 marathon in October with her. She hasn’t quite commit to it yet. It would be killing two birds with one stone, I get to run with her and visit my little niece and nephew on one trip.

Thank you for your support and well wishes and good luck with the Western States 100 (Wow!!!) :)
