My first 10k race is approaching in less then two weeks.

I am not completely focused on training for this event since I have been running consistently for a while.
In my mind, 10k is about a normal training run that I do a couple of times a week. I’ll just go out there and run and see what happens. The only goal I have in mind is to run under an hour. I asked a few girls in the office who are walkers to walk the 10k and afterwards we’ll all go out to eat. :) Should be fun.

    Good luck on your race.

BTW, I noticed there was a small problem with the theme you were using that caused people to not be able to comment on your blog. :(
    We fixed it now. :)

You’re gonna do great! I have confidence in you!! :-)

Don’t really have a training plan, just decide to increase by one mile each day. I did read this book called “4 months to a 4 hour Marathon” and was going to follow it, but I was talking to someone and they said if I’m increasing my mileage and keeping the same pace why should I follow a plan. So, the only thing I will take away from the training plan in the book is to try doing ‘quarter mile repeats’. If you don’t know (cuz I didn’t) it’s when you run a 1/4 mile as close to 2 minutes as possible and then rest 2 minutes. Then repeat. Each week you increase by 2 repeats. I was going to try them tonight, if I can find a school open in my area. Or maybe just run up and down the street LOL. Neighbors will think I have lost my mind :-)
