Heading out to the beach to test my Garmin GPS watch.
Since I got back from my trip, I have only been to the gym a couple of times to run on the treadmill. Today is my first day running outside in two weeks, being out by the beach makes me realized how much I missed it.
Using the Forerunner for the first time, it has so many function I am not using yet, but in the simple workout mode, I set the distance and off I go. I have a little man on my watch (virtual trainer) to complete with me, the watch will tell me whether I am falling behind or running ahead. Kind of cool.
Another mode tells me the miles, pace and time all in one screen in real time. Very cool.
When I got home, I was able to synch the running data from the watch to my computer wirelessly, the data then can be analyzed in “The Training Center” (download for free) with graph (in more details than one will ever need).
It even route your run automatically on Google map, very, very cool. I am sure I probably haven’t scratch the surface yet. I’ll have to figure out if I can get the data into this website…
