Quick Treamill run in the gym.
I’ve been taking my “recovery weeks” a bit too far, the mileage is down pretty drastically. Playing around with different shoe insoles and socks takes its toll with my feet and legs. Different areas hurt like they never did before. Very strange… I put on my trust old running shoes with its original insole, and my thin lining running socks. huhhhh!!! feels like home.
This weekend, one more 10 recovery run, before we hit the “22 miles mark” the following week. Can’t wait to get back on track, recovery makes me feel lazy and unmotivated. I don’t like it.
Workout:
- Type: Run
- Date: 09/18/2008
- Time: 14:02:49
- Total Time: 00:39:00.00
- Distance: 4 miles
- Average Pace: 9:45.37/mile
I know how you feel. I’ve been outta commission for 2 weeks. OMGosh I feel so much better. I thought it was THREE weeks. I’m getting stir crazy, I can’t wait to start running again. I can’t believe I have to do so much stretching to make sure I don’t pull anything again.
You’re doing GREAT! Don’t be so hard on yourself!
It’s me again! LOL
I would really appreciate you sending the training schedule. I’m kind of a loner when I run cuz of zoning out on runs with my iPod, so I haven’t really tried to find a group like this. LOL
You’re doing great! Happy training to you too
Heya! You’re right, having goals and races or events to look forward to is awesome! I don’t want to think about winter yet…it’s gonna be 80 degrees and sunny here today, but in about 2 months it will be snowy and cold I’m sure. I want to be healthy with running for next year so I can get out n the cold and run….it’s exhilerating to run in the snow and cold…you’d be amazed at how easy it is to hold a good pace in 20-25 degree weather. Its the bitter cold and sleety wind that gets ya. All in lal the running right now is going well…ran 4 miles last night after about 15 miles on the bike. I am finding that if i do another workout (biking, swimming, leg works outs with weights, etc.) before I go out running then I am pain free…so i just make sure to warm up real well before hand. But I have ruled out a stress fracture…which is a good thing to not have. Good luck with your training and keep up with the great mileage!
