Back on the Treadmill - restarting my training

Ran gingerly, trying to pay attention to the injured area to notice any wierd sensation.  I felt fine.  Told myself to only do 3 miles, the mind goes right back to where I left off three weeks ago as far as mileage is concerned.  I have to reconciled the body with the mind and just be grateful to be back running.

I know how you feel. You body can sometimes get scared of your mind. It was difficult for me to do the same. I just stuck with 3 miles, sometimes the knee couldn’t even do that. Yesterday I was finally able to run 10 miles. Knee would get sore, but I just pushed through it. Don’t feel much of anything today..good sign ;-)

Keep it up! You can do it. Plenty of time to take it nice and easy :-)

Nice and easy is better than sitting down and doing nothing. You are right, “be grateful to be back running.” Have a great week.
