Cycling on my own trainer

I got a new bike this weekend and also bought a trainer.  No more driving to the gym to take spinning class.  I can hope on my own bike and watch TV and ride anytime.  Yeah.

This is also a perfect cross training on my final tapering week of the marathon.

Awesome spinning class!

We did a lot of hill climbs today both seated and out of saddle.  The instructor also mixed in sprints and intervals in between the hills.  There was a big puddle of sweat in front of my bike when I was done.  Awesome workout!  Now I can go take on the day.  :)

Today’s spinning class was brutal, the instructor was on crack!!! She will not let up, pushing us all the way through the end, OMG!!!  It was awesome.

First workout after marathon - much needed

As much as I needed the rest and I did rest.  I also know that the soreness of my muscles badly needed some blood flowing thru and the only way to get that is to work out.  Spinning is a good alternative of non-impact workout.  Boy, am I glad I did it!  The knots and stiffness I felt in my legs were gone when I got off the bike at the end of the class.  Once the muscles are warmed up, I got to do some really deep stretching that  I was longing for.  I walked out of the gym feeling like a new woman! Huh……

My spinning instructor went to Cochela Music Festival this weekend.  She brought back some really awesome music and shared with us.  I don’t know why, but music makes all the difference in a spinning class.  We had a blast, great workout.
